The City of Watertown provides refuse services within the City through the services of a contractor. The City contracts for
the service with one provider and the contract is bid regularly. The purpose of the competitive contract is to provide market prices
while controlling the impact of heavy trucking on local streets. Refuse trucks place a heavy burden on the City's street infrastructure.
