The City of Watertown currently has many projects going on to improve the city.

Two of the main projects currently in progress are the Downtown Revitalization and the construction of Kings Highland park, as well as the many current residential developments that are currently ongoing in Watertown.

Local Trail Connections Program Grant

The City of Watertown had been awarded a Local Trail Connections Program grant totaling $100,000 for a project

to construct a trail on both sides of the Crow River that will connect to the Luce Line Trail. The DNR received 45 applications totaling over $3.7 million with only $655,000 allocated. Construction on new trail segments will begin this August. The two trails will run along both sides of the river-adjacent to Lewis Avenue and Mill Avenue. The project will have seating areas with benches along the river and paved parking areas. Please see the map for more details [.pdf file - 22 MB].
