July 22, 2010 - The Golden Spike was found Thursday afternoon, July 22 by Bren Fredrickson and Andy Kuhnau near the trail in Kings Highland subdivision.

Clues & Rules

RULES: The Golden Spike is hidden within the city limits of Watertown. Please do not damage any property trying to find the Golden Spike. Do not look on private property. Clues will appear each day in local businesses, on the City of Watertown web site, on cable TV Channel 12, and on the Chamber of Commerce web site. The first clue will be available Saturday, July 17. If you find the Golden Spike, bring it to City Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for verification.

If the spike is not found by Saturday, July 24, a final clue will be given at 8 a.m. that day at the Concession Stand under the Grandstand in Highland Park (420 High Street SW). The final clue will also be available on the City of Watertown web site and Chamber of Commerce web site. When the spike is found on Saturday, July 24, bring it to the Concession Stand under the Grandstand at Highland Park. The person who finds the Golden Spike will receive $300 in Caleb's Cash which is redeemable at many Watertown Chamber businesses.
