Street Reconstruction
The City is reconstructing certain streets that have failed. These streets are reconstructed by removing 13 1/2" of the old asphalt and base
material. A fabric liner is put down and 9” of aggregate is placed on top. A 3” asphalt base is put down and 1 1/2" of wear coat is placed on top of
that. The reconstruction costs are paid for by assessing 80% of the cost to the homeowner and 20% is paid by the city. Seal coating and other
maintenance procedures are paid from the city budget.
