The City of Watertown receives its police service from the Carver County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff Department's primary
concern is the safety and well-being of all persons and property in Carver County. Responsibilities include: executing court-issued civil and
criminal process; providing patrol and investigative functions; providing a secure, healthy detention facility; providing professional training
for personnel; maintaining an accurate record-keeping system; and providing a 911 Emergency Communications Center.

Vandalism in Watertown
Over the past several days there have been numerous calls taken relating to vandalism of personal
property in the City of Watertown. The vandals are smashing out vehicle windows. The property damage is accruing at a high rate … what does that mean for the
vandals? Potentially felony charges being assessed against them.

Watertown City Council is offering a $500.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the
person(s) responsible for the vandalism.
